I just can’t justify spending $140 for a one hour massage so I took a chance and decided to go here because it’s a reasonable dollar a minute massage. I had my neck and back flare up two weeks ago from previous injuries and bad posture and I had done all that I could to heal it. I decided I needed to get a massage. That was the only way I would feel better. Marquetta was my massage. Therapist and I walked out of there feeling like a brand new person. I will never go to a high price massage therapist when I can get the same if not better quality and results at the school.

This was my first visit to Irene's as a client and I was very impressed. It's smart that they separate the student area from the massage studio. It was a relaxing environment and Heather at the front desk was very welcoming when I arrived. I'm glad they do the financial transaction before the massage instead of after.

My massage was by a student named Chavonn, who will be there through October 2026. If you have the chance to visit her, I highly recommend doing so! She was efficient in reviewing my paperwork and discussing my goals and physical issues so that more time was preserved for the massage. Still, she was thorough and communicated well at the outset. She also checked in throughout the massage to ensure the level of pressure was good, but not so often it felt distracting. In fact, I was so relaxed that I was nearly falling asleep by the end! It was a great massage - as far as I'm concerned, she's already a pro, and she'll only get better with more practice!

The only things that could possibly improve my experience would be if the lights were off during the massage, but everything else in the room was cozy (music, bed, temperature). Also, there's a questionnaire that you fill out afterwards reviewing the student, which I wish could be filled out as a survey from home later on so guests can just float out completely still on cloud 9 -- that said, I imagine lots of folks would forget or skip it if they didn't do it right away and I'm sure the feedback is helpful for students, so I get why it's done this way. Neither detracted from this being a 5-star experience and I will definitely return!

Studying at Irene's was one of the best experiences of my life. The teachers are knowledgeable and excellent at teaching what they know. The atmosphere is caring and supportive, far beyond anything I've experienced at any other school I've ever attended or taught in. Upon graduation I felt prepared in far more than just the techniques of massage therapy. I had a grounding in technical theory, exposure to a huge variety of possible modalities, and an ongoing resource I can turn to even after graduation to learn more and find work.
